Why Islamic dates may differ

Umm al-Qura uses calculated Hijri months. The civil option uses a tabular calendar. Neither predicts an official local moon-sighting decision. A date adjustment changes the Hijri display and both converters consistently.

Date conversion limits

Gregorian input is supported from 1900 to 2100. Hijri input is supported from 1320 to 1520 AH. A month may have 29 or 30 days; invalid day 30 entries are rejected. Conversion uses calendar dates, without times of day.
